Humble Beginnings

Discovering Music Production

Agnes started into this work when recording keyboard parts for a friend’s CD, which later evolved into writing and adding orchestral parts with digital software. She then worked with the engineer and producer for the rest of the project. So much was learned throughout the process, and she really came to enjoy it. Following this, Agnes decided to keep at it and now does the engineering and producing roles for her own music and others.

About the In-Home Recording Studio

AAMP Music offers a casual, home studio space designed for recording and producing small projects. In addition to the software and technical resources available in AAMP’S recording and producing spaces, users can capitalize on Agnes’ musical knowledge and recording experiences, including writing of instrumental parts and arranging of music, to enhance their finished products.

AAMP Music works best with contemporary or classical styles of music such as a solo instrument, or singer(s) with accompaniment ranging from a solo instrument (i.e. piano) to a full band (guitars and drums). Orchestral accompaniment can also be added through digital software. 

The Process

Production Services

The typical process for a vocal recording involves many steps to create a polished, finished product.

Generally, the process starts when the client requests the recording and they decide on the songs they would like recorded.  From there, an initial vocal recording is made with piano accompaniment. Following some basic editing, other instruments and background vocals will be added in as required. The client then has the opportunity to listen and make any necessary adjustments, and record a final vocal track. The editing process continues throughout until the piece is just right.

The time allotted for recording and producing process varies depending on the intricacies of individual projects.

    Digital instrument sample software covering all orchestral instruments. When drums or guitars are needed for a recording, Agnes is willing to ask her contacts to join the project.

  • AAMP Music works with each individual partner to determine cost for services. Generally, cost is determined based on the number of hours, and then billed accordingly.
